Carita Marrow is a senior manager in Adobe's Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Talent Program. She drives strategy around attracting and recruiting diverse talent into Adobe in partnership with talent acquisition and branding teams in addition to employee networks.
Before joining Adobe, Carita was a senior manager for science education at the United Negro College Fund (UNCF), where she co-managed multimillion-dollar initiatives including the Fund II Foundation STEM Scholars Program, UNCF Merck Science Initiative, and HBCU Innovation Summit.
"I transitioned into Tech after working at a higher education nonprofit, UNCF, where I managed STEM Scholarships and Fellowships impacting over 700 students. Prior to UNCF, I worked in student affairs as a graduate advisor for programming at one of the most diverse institutions on the east coast, George Mason University," Carita said.
"I am inspired by my community and creating opportunities of wealth and exposure to tech for under-tapped populations," she added. "Growing up I had mentors who opened doors for me and I would like to give back by developing pathways into tech careers. It is my dream that D&I will not be an add-on to tech and tech adjacent companies but woven into the fabric and foundation of emerging and existing companies. I hope that companies will continue to peel away the barriers of exclusion and that each company's demographics will mirror the US census and beyond for fair representation across protected classes."
