The Women of Color STEM Conference - Digital Twin Experience (DTX) will be celebrating 2023 award winners October 12-14.
This yearly event, in partnership with Women of Color magazine, has been recognizing women in STEM fields since 1995.
It offers opportunities for career growth, networking, education, and honors outstanding women in science, technology, engineering, and math.
Ana Lucia Ochoa Lorenzini is the director of supply chain management in the metal forming division of American Axle & Manufacturing (AAM).
She is a shining example for all women and members of the Latino community, demonstrating a work ethic that is second to none.
Fluent in Spanish and English, Ana has established trust and respect with people from diverse cultures.
Her ability to energize teams make her an effective change agent who positively impacts all areas of an organization's supply chain.
With almost 25 years of service to the company, Ana has successfully directed 45 metal-forming plants across eight countries.
Her leadership has resulted in 100% delivery performance to customers, the implementation of a standardized production control and logistics strategy, and significant savings through logistics.
Ana has also promoted best practices among metal forming plants, improved team performance KPIs and metrics, and mentored many people in the workforce.
As a supply chain management executive, Ana has extensive global experience and has provided significant cost reductions.
She leads and directs over 400 associates worldwide, driving manufacturing and administrative process improvements.
Her experience in procurement, program management, logistics, customs, materials, and manufacturing has equipped her with the skills necessary to lead a multibillion-dollar global supply chain.
Ana holds a business degree in international trade, which has given her a deep understanding of supply chain management and business relationships.

Mary Hor-Lao, an executive at Abbott, won Technologist of the Year for leading groundbreaking developments in implantable pulse generators and virtual clinics that help patients with chronic pain and movement disorders.
Mary also advocates for women of color in STEM and philanthropic efforts to support children in Cambodia. In the upcoming issue, we'll cover this year's award winners from noteworthy companies like Boeing, Amazon Web Services, and General Motors.
