During the 2021 Women of Color in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) digital twin conference, nine women at Ford received awards in several categories.
The awards include the Technology All-Star, which is won by accomplished women with more than 15 years in the workforce who have demonstrated excellence in the workplace and in their communities; and the Technology Rising Star, presented to early-career women helping to shape technology for the future.
Judy Asher, Carlene Bills, Keisha Hanks, Toni Hayes, and Ellen Lee were named Technology All-Stars; and Pramita Mitra, Glenny Tjahjadi, and Raven Wynn were named Technology Rising Stars. Rekha Wunnava, Ford global director, automotive design and build IT, won a special recognition award.
"I’m so proud that this year, nine Ford employees have received coveted 2021 Women of Color STEM Awards," wrote Jim Farley, CEO of Ford Motor Company, on LinkedIn. "These awards celebrate women reaching new heights in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics--careers where women of color are often underrepresented."
