Sharon Jin is a senior technical specialist at Stellantis, a Dutch-based automotive manufacturing corporation.
Previously, she was a materials development specialist in the North American arm of FCA.
In 2015, she won the Professional Achievement Award at the Women of Color STEM Conference.
The award recognizes a mid-career professional with significant accomplishments as a leader and role model in an engineering or technology industry or government agency.
Earlier in her career, Sharon worked as a chemist for the Gates Corporation. Before that, she was a research engineer with General Motors.
Sharon also worked with Canadian General-Tower and was a research associate at the University of Waterloo in Canada.
She earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of Sichuan in China and went on to do a Ph.D. at the University of Birmingham.
Over the years, hundreds of employees have earned professional recognition from Women of Color in STEM, which holds its 26th annual conference Oct. 7-9, 2021.
