Stephanie Manuel Bailey won the Women of Color Technologist of the Year Award in 1998. At the time, she was a partner with PwC Consulting. She first joined Price Waterhouse Management Consultants in 1978.

Later in her career, she served as vice president for customer service and marketing technologies at American Express, before joining Fannie Mae in 2004 as vice president for enterprise resource management. She also served as a consultant in application strategy, architecture, and governance in the Greater New York City area, and spent almost a decade as director of business systems delivery at Con Edison.

Since retiring in 2019, she has run an information technology consultancy and volunteered with the Blanton-Peale Institute & Counseling Center. She also serves as treasurer for this mental health advanced training institute and public available counseling clinic and is an elder at the Marble Collegiate Church, a diverse, inclusive community. She served as chair of the board for ten years.

Stephanie has been honored with several Norman Vincent Peale awards from the Blanton-Peale Institute & Counseling Center. The center provides mental health care to people in New York City. It amplifies this impact by training mental health professionals, leaders, and other caring people with the tools of psychology, mental health, and spirituality.
