Sherita T. Ceasar retired as senior vice president of National Video Deployment Engineering for Comcast Communications.
She received numerous career achievement awards, including WOC magazine's 2001 Technologist of the Year award.
A telecommunications executive with over 33 years of experience in the industry, her accomplishments included launching the Comcast Universal Caller ID cross-platform application, remote DVR, Comcast Content Distribution Network, Cavalry conditional access, and Cloud DVR platforms.
Sherita also led Motorola's paging operations as director of Manufacturing for North and South America Paging Group, technology integration and service business management as vice president and general manager of SciCare Broadband Services, Digital Launch and Quality at Scientific Atlanta, and Charter Communications as vice president.
She has been inducted into the Women in Technology International (WITI) Hall of Fame and recognized by Cable Fax as one of the Top 50 Technology Leaders in the Cable Industry for her service on the national board of directors for Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT).
Sherita also served as Board of Trustee for Illinois Institute of Technology, her alma mater. She earned two mechanical engineering degrees from Illinois Tech.
She is the past National President for the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) and led the Comcast FIRST Robotics program.
